100th entry New Years Dress GIVEAWAY!
I've finally reached my 100th entry! I can't believe it; it's been a long time coming! To celebrate my 100th entry, I'm giving away this cute little cocktail dress I just repurposed. I bought it at Goodwill last week for only $5.50. It was supposed to be $14.99 since it's "special occasion" but the cashier was awesome and pretended it was just a regular dress. I love it when that happens.
It's the perfect dress for any New Years or holiday party this season. A vintage dress, the front bodice is silver sequins, with an open V. The rest of the dress is polyester. The skirt is two layers, a satin and chiffon-like material.
The skirt is about 14 inches long, and where the bodice meets the skirt measures 29 inches. I'll be repurposing one or two more special occasion dresses this week for the holidays.
To win this dress, simply comment on this entry with a your favorite entry of mine and tell me why! Include your email if you're not logged into Google or Facebook when you comment. The winner will be announced later this week!
And if you aren't following my blog already, please do!
Best of luck to all of you and thanks so much for reading!
I really hope I get this dress -- it's amazing! My favorite blog entry has to be the one for making your own personal brazier. I appreciate your dedication to the world of "sewing, recycling, & repurposing," all while helping individuals like myself give life to discarded things!

My favorite blog entry was back in, I think, September or October when you did a tutorial on framed pictures. It was such a simple and unique project! Me and my niece enjoyed the process and the results! I ♥ the tutorials!!

I loved your tutorial on how to patch jeans. I had been trying to figure out a way to fix my favorite jeans for a while and you saved me!
ReplyDeleteI think people in Georgia have much better style than people on Long Island... the dresses in my thrift stores are never as awesome as the ones you find!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post of yours has to be the one about the Marushkas. I spent two whole summers looking for as many of them as I could find (vintage, not new!), after I saw them showcased in a huge beach house I was cleaning. My dad joked that he bought a million of them in college because they were only 75 cents a piece, but threw them out just as easily because they were so cheap. Now, the print shop in Grand Haven is selling them for $40-100!! I have only had luck in finding one print this whole time. So - the search continues!
I think my favorite post is the Trip to Valueland with you, Sarah and I. And of course the Bronson Park one, Georgia on my mind... and then summer ones because the pictures of George when he was a baby are so adorable! I wish he was still that little.
ReplyDeleteHow are you taking pictures now btw, you use your tripod?
My favorite post of yours is about the craft fair you did in Columbia County where you included pictures of Liberty and a link to her Etsy shop. It's my favorite because that's the day I met you! Hope I win!
